Gidgette’s Artist Statement

My art is a reflection of who I am; my soul and dreams. Most of my art works are hand drawn and finished digitally. I would categorize most of my art along the line of Net Art because it has a computer, virtual heavy appeal to it. I like to start off by using black markers and/or pens. I love the contrast between black backgrounds and colorful shapes for the surface.

They are Abstracts and intricate symbolism, inspired by nature. Whimsical, bohemian and vibrant; my art works are interesting to the eyes. They are refreshing and original. I have always had a fondness for fashion and the way that things work and come together. My art works are a sum of everything that inspires me like fashion, nature, natural science illustration, ancient Egyptian culture, art deco and jazz culture. With my art, I am given a chance to be open and transparent. Hopefully, what you see can inspire you or help you become a better person.
